Planning a wedding means tracking down a dozen different suppliers, and most of the tools for doing it were never built with a real couple in mind. The Knotline started as an idea eight years ago and launched in 2026 around one simple rule: if a supplier is listed in your area, they genuinely cover your area.
What we do differently
Most wedding directories are national. You search your town, get shown a supplier two hundred miles away, and waste a week finding out they do not travel. We build The Knotline area by area, and a supplier only appears if they genuinely cover your postcode.
We do not take a cut of any booking, and we do not sell your details on. Suppliers pay a flat subscription to be listed, which means the results you see are not ranked by whoever paid the most this month.
Meet the founder
Pete Old founded The Knotline in 2026, after carrying the idea around for the best part of eight years. He is a Bournemouth businessman who looks at things from the practical side first: what a small supplier can realistically afford, what a couple needs to see before they pick up the phone, and why so many good local businesses never turn up where people are actually looking.
He built The Knotline to fix both sides of that at once. Couples get a straight answer to who covers their area. Suppliers get found by the people most likely to book them, for a flat fee rather than a cut of their work.
What we stand by
Local really means local
Every supplier is listed in the area their business is actually based, taken from their postcode. Nobody gets to say they cover the whole south coast.
No commission, ever
Suppliers pay a flat monthly fee. What you agree with them is between the two of you and we take nothing from it.
Your details stay yours
Enquiries go to the supplier you chose and nobody else. We do not sell leads on to anyone.
Reviews you can check
Ratings link straight to each supplier's Google or Trustpilot page, so you can read the reviews for yourself, somewhere they cannot edit them.
The same information on every profile
Photos, a pricing guide and a location on all of them, so you can actually compare rather than guess.
